Saturday 19 September & Sunday 20 September 10:00am – 2:00pm both days Have you ever felt drawn to sound, frequency or the incredible instruments used in sound healing, but don't know where to start? Maybe you don't know which instruments you love, how to play them, how sound actually works, or even how you could incorporate sound into your existing business, practice or your own self-care. This workshop is for you. Foundations of Sound is an intimate, hands-on two-day workshop designed to give you the knowledge, understanding and confidence to explore the world of sound and frequency. You don't need previous experience. You don't need to own instruments. And you certainly don't need to know what you want to do with sound yet. We'll explore the fundamentals together and, most importantly, **you'll get to play the instruments yourself.** WHAT WE'LL COVER Over the two days we'll explore: • A brief history of sound and sound healing • The science behind sound and frequency • Frequencies and how we understand them • Harmonics vs disharmonics • Brainwaves and their relationship to sound • The nervous system and sound • Understanding different instruments and their characteristics • How to choose instruments that feel right for you • How to play and work with each instrument • Ways to incorporate sound into self-care, existing practices or your business THE INSTRUMENTS This is a very hands-on workshop, so you'll have the opportunity to experience and play: 🔔 Crystal Singing Bowls ✨ Crystal Grails & Alchemy Bowls 🥣 Tibetan Singing Bowls 🌊 Gongs 🥁 Drums 🎶 Tuning Forks You'll learn the **foundations you need to confidently begin exploring sound**, rather than simply being shown what the instruments are. This workshop is perfect for anyone who: • Loves sound, music or frequency • Is curious about sound healing • Wants to understand the science and fundamentals • Is unsure which instruments to choose • Wants to learn how to play sound healing instruments • Wants to incorporate sound into an existing wellness or therapeutic business • Wants to explore sound as part of their own self-care • Is simply curious and wants to learn something completely new **You don't have to have a plan. Come with curiosity.** EVERYTHING IS PROVIDED You only need to bring **water and food if you need it during the day.** All instruments and everything else required for the workshop will be provided.
